There is an old saying, 'A dragon rises from a small stream.' In modern times, this saying holds even more profound meaning. The current generation, especially those in their 2030s, is facing a challenging period where they must sacrifice many things to continue their lives. As an artist of the same age group, I empathize with and understand the difficulties of this lonely era. However, even if it's just a tiny sliver of hope, by holding onto that hope and focusing on it every day, someday I might become the person I aspire to be.
'개천에서 용 난다'라는 고사성어가 있다. 현대에는 이 말이 더욱 의미심장하게 다가온다. 요즘 2030세대는 삶을 이어가기 위해 수많은 것을 희생해야 하는 어려운 시기를 맞이하고 있다. 작가 본인 역시 같은 나이대로서 많은 것을 공감하고 있는 쓸쓸한 시대이다. 하지만, 아주 작은 희망일지라도, 이 작은 희망을 놓지 않고 하루하루 집중하다 보면 언젠가는 내가 바라던 모습이 되어있을지도 모른다.
Based on this hope, I express the current feelings of being trapped in an uncertain and dark future by creating a small house. Each person is preparing to become a 'dragon' soaring high in their own 'small stream,' despite the difficulties and exhaustion. The artwork carries a message of encouragement to not lose hope, even though it may be tough and tiring right now, and it reflects the artist's commitment to keep striving for a better future.
이 바람을 기반으로 불확실하고 어두운 미래에 갇힌 현재의 감정을 작은 집으로 표현하고 있습니다. 각자가 '개천'에서 힘들고 지칠지라도 희망을 잃지 말고 '용'처럼 하늘 높이 솟아올라갈 준비를 하고 있다는 메시지를 담았습니다. 작품은 지금이 힘들고 피곤하더라도 희망을 잃지 말라는 응원의 메시지와 미래를 향한 작가의 다짐을 담고 있습니다.
